Agro Tech Foods: Q2FY14 Result Analysis

Agro Tech Foods have posted muted set of numbers for Q2FY14. The topline grew by mere 1.18% to stand at Rs 194.55 crore as against Rs 192.28 crore reported during the same quarter last fiscal.

Agro Tech Foods have posted muted set of numbers for Q2FY14. The topline grew by mere 1.18% to stand at Rs 194.55 crore as against Rs 192.28 crore reported during the same quarter last fiscal. The bottomline went up by 15.15% on YoY basis to Rs 10.64 crore as against Rs 9.24 crore witnessed in Q2FY13.

On the operational front EBITDA of the company has went by 10.56% to stand at Rs 16.33 crore for Q2FY14. The margins have improved marginally by 71 basis points on YoY basis to come in at 8.39%. This was mainly because company has been able to contain its expenses towards consumption of raw materials. The cost of raw materials as a percentage of sales have declined by 117 basis points on a YoY basis to stand at 49.65% for Q2FY14.

The company has also reduced its advertisement expenses by 23% on YoY basis and it stands at Rs 8.9 crore.
