Sensex Crosses 21K For The First Time Since November 2010

The Indian markets witnessed a positive opening this morning. After opening the markets saw massive buying in the entire spectrum of the sectoral indices. At this juncture Nifty is up by 60 points to trade at 6239 and Sensex up by 220 points and is trading at 20980.

The Indian markets witnessed a positive opening this morning. After opening the markets saw massive buying in the entire spectrum of the sectoral indices. At this juncture Nifty is up by 60 points to trade at 6239 and Sensex up by 220 points and is trading at 20980. 

The advance-decline ratio is in the green zone so far. On the NSE, 1790 shares are trading in gains and 1298 shares are down.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: DLF is the top gainer so far, up by 2.7%, followed by Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Motors, Bank Of Baroda and Bharti Airtel.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: Ambuja Cement is the top loser so far, down by 1.1%. Wipro, HCL Tech, Power Grid Corporation and Coal India are among the others that are trading lower.

All the sectoral indices are trading in the green in the opening session. Bankex has moved up by 176 points, followed Auto and Metals indices which are trading higher by 163 points and 113 points higher.  Oil & Gas and Capital Goods indices are also showing strength, both are up by 102 points and 95 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small Caps indices are up more than 35 points each.

However, the Asian markets are giving out negative vibes this morning. Hang Seng is the top loser and is down by 178 points. It is followed by Nikkei which is down by 85 points. KOSPI and Shanghai Composite are also showing nominal negative move.

Buzzers: DLF one of the biggest realty company in the country is trading higher by more than 3% and trading at intraday high at Rs 164. If it sustain around these level may see the stock cross it’s major hurdle which is Rs 170. 

Nifty Futures broke its major resistance levels at 6240-6250. May see more positive move if sustain on higher levels.
