The Indian markets saw positive opening taking cues from its global peers. Mainly all the buying came from the global market which are showing good strength for the last couple of days. Currently, Nifty is up by 98 points to trade at 6154 and Sensex has moved up by 347 points to trade at 20747.

The advance-decline ratio is in positives at this hour. On the NSE, 1895 shares are trading in gains and 1351 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: L&T is the top gainer so far, up by 3.2%, followed by Ranbaxy Labs, ICICI Bank, ONGC and HDFC Bank.
Top Nifty Losers: Sesa Sterlite has dipped by 1.02% this morning. Lupin, Coal India and Tata Motors are among the other stocks which are trading in red.
The sectoral indices are all trading in the positive zone as of now. Bankex and Auto indices are the main gainers, both are up by over 350 points. Capital Goods and Metals are also showing some strength, trading higher by 257 points and 161 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps were up by around 80 points.
The Asian markets are also in the green. Hang Seng has gained 580 points. Shanghai Composite, KOSPI and Taiwan Weighted are also trading in green. Only Nikkei is seen nominally down by 3 points.
Buzzer: L&T has moved up in today’s opening session, trading higher by 3%. The stock has made an intraday high of Rs 970 so far. If it continues to trade around this levels, it may break the psychological mark of Rs 1000 in the next few sessions.
Nifty Futures has a bullish crossover at the 6150 level. If it manages to hold this level may see 6200 level in closing.
