Markets In Green, Nifty Around 6300

The Indian markets saw a flat opening to start the week, but quickly moved up to the green zone. Currently, Nifty is up 27 points to trade at 6301 and Sensex has moved up by 85 points to 21165. The peer Asian indices are also witnessing gains.
The Indian markets saw a flat opening to start the week, but Nifty and Sensex are both in the green zone as of now. Currently, Nifty is up 27 points to trade at 6301 and Sensex has moved up by 85 points to 21165.
The advance-decline ratio is in positives at this hour. On the NSE, 2002 shares are trading in gains and 1198 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: Jindal Steel is the top gainer so far, up by 3.61%, followed by Hindalco, DLF, BHEL and BPCL.
Top Nifty Losers: Infosys has dipped by 1.08% this morning. Lupin, Tata Power, M&M and TCS are among the other stocks which are trading in red.
12 of the 13 sectoral indices are trading in positives as of now. Capital Goods and Metal are the main gainers, both up by over 150 points. Bankex and Auto are also showing some strength, having gained 128 points and 107 points respectively. Mid-Caps have moved up by 99 points and Small-Caps by 67 points.
The Asian markets are also in the green. Hang Seng has gained 160 points. Shanghai Composite, Nikkei, KOSPI and Taiwan Weighted are also trading higher.
Buzzer: L&T has moved up in today’s opening session. The stock has made an intraday high of Rs 1079 so far, and is currently in gains of 1.15%. If the stock continues to trade around this level, it may breach the psychological mark of Rs 1140 in the next few sessions. The stock has gained after L&T Infrastructure Development Projects (L&T IDPL) has submitted a proposal to the FIPB seeking approval for foreign direct investment in the company.
Nifty Futures has a bullish crossover at the 6315 level. If it manages to hold this level, it may see more upward moment at closing.
