Markets Continues To Trade Volatile

The Indian markets continue to maintain the unpredictable swings during the mid-trading session. Indices remain flat, making swings between positive and negative zones. Nifty is trading up by 15 points at 6088 and Sensex is up 24 points at 20522.

A bout of volatility was witnessed as key benchmark indices alternately swung between positive and negative zone in mid trade. The Nifty is trading up by 15 points at 6088 and the Sensex is up by 24 points at 20522. The indices are trading on a positive note between 0.12% and 0.21%.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side. On the NSE, 1792 shares are in the green and 1391 shares are in the red.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: PNB is leading the gainers list so far and is trading higher by 4.98%. M&M, Tata Steel, BPCL and Bank of Baroda are among other gainers.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: Tata Motors is leading the losers list so far and is trading lower by 3.25%. It is followed by HDFC, Hero Motocorp, BHEL and NTPC.

In the mid-market session, 11 out of the 13 sectors are seen trading in the green zone.  IT has seen the highest gains and is trading higher by 117 points. Metals & Oil, and Gas were up by 89 points and 76 points respectively. Mid-caps and small-caps also were both up by about 122 points and 77 points respectively.

All the Asian markets are trading on a negative note since morning. Hang Seng is the top loser so far and trading down by 106 points. The Nikkei is trading down by 92 points.  

Buzzer: PNB surged over 4.64%, touching to Rs 548 after announcing Q3 result.

The Nifty future is currently trading at 6115 level.
