Wipro has announced the launch of its Applied AI Center of Excellence for Claude models powered by Anthropic. The CoE was inaugurated at the company's Bengaluru innovation hub and forms a key part of its newly established AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit. The initiative is aimed at accelerating enterprise AI adoption and strengthening Wipro's capabilities in deploying AI solutions at scale.
The company said the CoE integrates Claude models across the Wipro Intelligence™ stack, including delivery, functional and industry platforms, with the objective of embedding artificial intelligence into core business workflows across industries.
Focus On Enterprise AI Adoption
As part of the initiative, Wipro has been building a global talent pool of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) trained on Claude models. These engineers operate within client environments and combine business process understanding, technology expertise and applied model capabilities to accelerate AI integration and deliver measurable business outcomes.
The company stated that the Applied AI CoE is designed to scale enterprise AI adoption through repeatable delivery methodologies and enterprise-grade execution while supporting clients in integrating AI into their operations.

Wipro To Certify 10,000 AI Experts
A key component of Wipro's AI strategy is the certification of 10,000 Front-Line Delivery Experts on the use of Claude models over the next 18 months. The programme is intended to create a broad base of practitioners capable of designing, deploying and operating AI-enabled systems in complex enterprise environments.
The company believes the initiative will strengthen its enterprise AI delivery capabilities and support the growing adoption of AI-powered solutions among clients globally.
AI Solutions Across Multiple Industries
The Applied AI Center of Excellence will also serve as a hub for developing AI-native platforms and industry-specific solutions across sectors including Mortgage, Healthcare, Airlines, Manufacturing and Consumer industries. Claude models are being embedded into Wipro's platforms to enable co-innovation with clients in live business environments.
In addition, Wipro is expanding AI adoption across its own Finance, Human Resources and Sales functions as part of its internal transformation strategy.
