TeamLease Proposes Rs 238 Crore Buyback

TeamLease Services Ltd has issued a postal ballot notice seeking shareholder approval for the buyback of up to 14,87,500 fully paid-up equity shares having a face value of Rs 10 each at a price of Rs 1,600 per share. The proposed buyback size is up to Rs 238 crore, excluding applicable Taxes and transaction-related expenses. The buyback will be undertaken through the tender offer route on a proportionate basis in accordance with SEBI Buyback Regulations.

Buyback Represents 8.87 per cent Of Equity Capital

According to the company, the proposed buyback will cover up to 14.87 lakh equity shares, representing about 8.87 per cent of the existing paid-up equity share capital as of March 31, 2026. The buyback size represents 24.96 per cent of the company's standalone paid-up capital and free reserves and is within the regulatory limit of 25 per cent. The company stated that the buyback will be funded from its free reserves and retained earnings.

Board-Approved Proposal In May

The Board of Directors approved the buyback proposal at its meeting held on May 20, 2026, subject to shareholder and other regulatory approvals. The company will determine the record date at a later stage for identifying eligible shareholders who can participate in the buyback offer.
