Sensex as well as Nifty opened Tuesday's trading session in the red zone. At 12.14 pm, Sensex was seen trading at 52,462.22 level, inching lower by 0.72 per cent while Nifty slipped 0.94 per cent to be at 15,713.80 level.
The top gainers of the day included TCS, Tech Mahindra, and NTPC, which increased 2.49 per cent, 2.42 per cent & 2.31 per cent, respectively. On the other hand, Axis Bank, Maruti, and Tata Steel turned out to be the top losers, which tanked 3.18 per cent, 3.01 per cent & 2.84 per cent, respectively.
