Profit before tax stood at Rs 726.1 crore in Q4 FY26 as against Rs 97.2 crore reported in Q4 FY25. Profit after tax rose sharply to Rs 520.6 crore compared with Rs 148.1 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Gujarat Energy FY26 Financial Performance
For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, the company reported revenue of Rs 24,198 crore compared with Rs 27,718 crore in FY25.
Profit before tax increased to Rs 3,088.7 crore from Rs 2,232.2 crore in the previous financial year.
Profit after tax stood at Rs 2,298.6 crore during FY26. The company noted that FY25 included merger accounting impacts and discontinued operations, making direct comparison less meaningful.
Gujarat Energy Board Recommends Final Dividend
The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Rs 8.90 per equity share having a face value of Rs 2 for FY26. The dividend is subject to approval of shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
The Board also approved the reappointment of independent directors Prof. Yogesh Singh, Bhadresh Mehta, Balwant Singh (IAS Retd.) and Dr. Rekha Jain for a second term, subject to shareholder approval.
Gas Trading And City Gas Distribution Drive Business
Gas Trading and City Gas Distribution remained the company's largest business segments during FY26.
The Gas Trading segment reported revenue of Rs 16,101 crore, while City Gas Distribution generated revenue of Rs 15,976 crore. The Exploration and Production segment contributed Rs 92.9 crore, while the Power segment reported revenue of Rs 70.7 crore.
