Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) reported its highest-ever monthly total sales of 75,360 units in July 2026, registering a 25.4 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth. The record performance was driven by strong demand in both the domestic market and exports.

The company's domestic sales stood at 54,210 units, rising 23.3 per cent YoY. This marked Hyundai's highest-ever domestic sales for any July. Meanwhile, exports surged 31.4 per cent YoY to 21,150 units, making it the company's highest monthly export volume in more than 100 months.

Hyundai's SUV portfolio continued to drive volumes during the month. The Hyundai CRETA recorded its highest monthly sales in calendar year 2026, with 18,088 units sold in July. The Hyundai i20 also delivered its best monthly performance of CY26, clocking 6,738 units.

Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd, said the company had begun the new quarter on a strong note. He added that achieving 75,360 total sales, the highest monthly volume since the company's inception, reflects strong consumer confidence in the Hyundai brand. He also said that exports of 21,150 units, the highest in more than 100 months, reinforce the company's commitment to the "Make in India, Made for the World" strategy.

Incorporated in May 1996, Hyundai Motor India Ltd is part of the Hyundai Motor Group, the world's third-largest passenger vehicle manufacturer by passenger vehicle sales. The company offers a portfolio of 13 models, including sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs and electric vehicles (EVs). Hyundai has also been India's second-largest passenger vehicle exporter from April 2021 through June 2024 and has sold nearly 12 million vehicles across domestic and international markets since inception.
