Juniper Green Energy reported total income of Rs 324 crore in Q1 FY27, registering a 79 per cent year-on-year increase from Rs 181 crore in Q1 FY26. The company stated that this was its highest-ever quarterly total income, driven by an increase in operational capacity.
EBITDA increased 86 per cent year-on-year to Rs 294 crore, compared with Rs 159 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The EBITDA margin also expanded to 91 per cent, up 300 basis points from 88 per cent in Q1 FY26.

601 MWp Renewable Capacity Commissioned
Juniper Green Energy commissioned its highest-ever quarterly renewable energy capacity of 601 MWp during Q1 FY27. This included 458 MWp of Solar capacity and 143 MW of wind capacity.
The company also commissioned approximately 400 MWh of BESS capacity during the quarter, taking its cumulative operational BESS capacity to 503 MWh. As of June 30, 2026, operational renewable energy capacity stood at 2,409 MWp, while an additional 167 MW of wind capacity commissioned after the quarter-end took total operational capacity to 2,575 MWp.

Portfolio Stands at 11,216 MWp
The company's total renewable energy portfolio has reached 11,216 MWp, along with 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity.
According to the company's release, 98 per cent of its portfolio is with offtakers rated 'A' or above, while 98 per cent is secured through long-term PPAs, typically for 25 years. The company also has surplus connectivity of more than 4,500 MW available for future bids and connectivity available for more than 20,000 MWh of BESS installation.
New Renewable Energy Orders and PPA
Following the quarter, Juniper Green Energy signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with SJVN Limited for a 50 MW FDRE project at Rs 4.25 per kWh on August 26, 2026.
The company also secured a Letter of Award under the SECI Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy Round-the-Clock tender for 230 MW contracted capacity, involving 870 MWp of renewable capacity and 2,200 MWh of BESS at a tariff of Rs 5.26 per kWh.
In addition, the company won a 50 MW GUVNL wind project at a tariff of Rs 3.51 per kWh. Juniper Green Energy also commissioned India's first FDRE project under the SJVN FDRE tender.
Management Commentary
The company attributed the 79 per cent growth in total income to the increase in operational capacity during the quarter. EBITDA grew 86 per cent year-on-year to Rs 294 crore, while the margin expanded by 300 basis points to 91 per cent, aided by operating leverage as the commissioned portfolio scaled.
Operating income stood at Rs 291 crore, up 81 per cent year-on-year, while operating EBITDA increased 89 per cent to Rs 261 crore, with an operating EBITDA margin of 90 per cent. PAT increased 54 per cent to Rs 33 crore, while Cash PAT rose 50 per cent to Rs 108 crore. Days Receivable Outstanding stood at 19 days as of June 30, 2026.
Generation and Capacity Utilisation Improve
The company's capacity utilisation factor (CUF) improved to 30.2 per cent in Q1 FY27, compared with 28.2 per cent in Q1 FY26. Renewable energy generation increased 72 per cent year-on-year to 944 million units, supported by capacity additions.
The weighted average CUF for wind projects of 192 MW stood at 49.9 per cent, while solar projects of 935 MW recorded a weighted average CUF of 27.9 per cent.
Balance Sheet and IPO Update
Juniper Green Energy had incurred total capex of Rs 16,303 crore as of June 30, 2026, including Rs 1,183 crore of capex addition during Q1 FY27. Net debt stood at Rs 11,217 crore, while net debt for the operational portfolio was Rs 7,183 crore.
The company refinanced more than Rs 1,700 crore across three projects during the current fiscal at a weighted average interest rate of below 8 per cent per annum. The weighted average cost of debt for the operational portfolio stood at 8.58 per cent, while net debt-to-equity was 3.24 times as of June 30, 2026.
Importantly, the company raised Rs 1,800 crore of primary capital through its IPO in August 2026, taking its post-IPO net worth to approximately Rs 5,200 crore.
