KPIT Co-Founder and Chairman Ravi Pandit Passes Away; The Man Behind KPIT’s Global Mobility Technology Journey

Dr S.B. (Ravi) Pandit, founder and chairman of KPIT Technologies, passed away in Pune on Friday at the age of 71. He was widely recognised for transforming KPIT Technologies from a small software services company into a global mobility technology and automotive software player with operations across international markets. 

Ravi Pandit co-founded the company in 1990 and played a major role in shaping its long-term strategy around mobility technologies, software-defined vehicles, electrification and autonomous driving solutions. Under his leadership, KPIT Technologies built strong partnerships with global automobile manufacturers and expanded its engineering and software capabilities across Europe, the United States and Asia.

He was known for focusing on innovation-led growth and helping position India as a key engineering and mobility technology hub. Over the years, KPIT Technologies emerged as one of the leading Indian companies specialising in automotive software, embedded systems and digital transformation solutions for the mobility sector.

Apart from corporate leadership, Ravi Pandit was also associated with industry initiatives related to technology, education and entrepreneurship development. His contribution to the Indian IT and mobility ecosystem was widely acknowledged across the industry.

KPIT Technologies Announces Q4FY26 Results Alongside Leadership Loss

On May 6, 2026, KPIT Technologies announced its Q4FY26 and FY26 financial results. The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 1,711 crore in Q4FY26 as against Rs 1,528 crore in Q4FY25, registering a growth of 12 per cent YoY. Profit after Tax for the quarter stood at Rs 162.97 crore compared with Rs 244.72 crore reported in the year-ago quarter, while earnings per share came in at Rs 5.99 versus Rs 9.01 in Q4FY25. The Board also recommended a final Dividend of Rs 5.25 per equity share for FY26.
