Market Update: NIFTY AUTO is the best performing sector; these companies are scaling 52-week high

The market is currently trading in favour of decline with the advance to decline ratio standing as 164:231.
After three days of continuous positive opening, Nifty 50 opened in red in today’ trade despite a better handover from the US equity market, which was up by more than 0.5 per cent in yesterday’s trade. Nifty opened at 17767.75 against the previous close of 17780.0, which means a gap down of -12.25 points. Currently, it is trading at 17682.6. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 35.0 are trading below their previous close and 15.0 are trading above yesterday's close. In today’s trade, more stocks in Nifty are trading in favour of declines. Overall, we see that more stocks are trading in the red.
In today’s trade, the best performing index is NIFTY AUTO which is up by 1.6 per cent. This is followed by NIFTY MICROCAP 250, which is up by 0.51 per cent. The worst performing index currently (11:28 AM) is NIFTY FINANCIAL SERVICES 25/50. It is down by -0.91 per cent. Out of the total 20.0 companies forming part of the index, 18.0 companies are trading in red, 2.0 are trading in green and the rest are unchanged.
