Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd. (BCSSL), a BSE-listed AI and cybersecurity leader, has reached a significant milestone by successfully completing the Proof of Concept (POC) for India’s first enterprise-grade BSNL 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) deployment. Located at the Mindi Exchange in Visakhapatnam, this project was executed in collaboration with Orange Business Services. The POC validated the seamless integration of 5G RAN, core, and radio systems under real-world conditions, meeting all performance KPIs for throughput, latency, and connection stability.

Innovative BNG Architecture

The deployment stands out for its pioneering use of Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) architecture rather than traditional GRE tunnelling. This approach enables carrier-grade subscriber management, allowing for dynamic IP assignment, robust Quality of Service (QoS) enforcement, and direct integration with BSNL’s existing billing and AAA systems. By moving beyond simple traffic encapsulation, the BNG framework provides the native session control and policy enforcement required for high-performance, large-scale ISP and enterprise operations.

Readiness for Nationwide Rollout

The formal sign-off from BSNL technical teams confirms that the solution—which integrated technology from QuadGen and HPE—is fully interoperable and ready for commercial expansion. This collaboration positions BCSSL and Orange as frontrunners in India's telecommunications landscape, establishing a standards-compliant blueprint for future nationwide 5G FWA deployments. The success of this project marks a transition toward more scalable and operationally reliable broadband services for both enterprises and residential consumers across India.
