The company reported revenue from operations of Rs 4,837.44 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 3,751.78 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a 29.0 per cent YoY growth. Total income increased to Rs 4,860.28 crore from Rs 3,772.82 crore, reflecting a 28.8 per cent YoY growth.

Profit before tax (PBT) increased to Rs 499.26 crore from Rs 200.55 crore in the year-ago quarter, registering a 148.9 per cent YoY growth. Profit after tax (PAT) surged 146.0 per cent to Rs 362.05 crore, compared with Rs 147.15 crore in Q1 FY26.
Key Corporate Developments
During the quarter, BASF India completed the sale of its 100 per cent stake in BASF India Coatings Private Limited to entities of the Carlyle Group, in line with the global transaction announced by BASF SE. Following the completion of the transaction on June 30, 2026, BASF India Coatings Private Limited ceased to be a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The sale resulted in an exceptional gain of Rs 18.15 crore, which has been recognised in the current quarter's financial results.

The company also said that shareholders have approved the proposed Scheme of Arrangement for the demerger of its Agricultural Solutions Business into BASF Agricultural Solutions India Limited. The scheme remains subject to receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals.
