The BSE Sensex ended the session at 82,345, up 487 points or 0.60 per cent, after touching an intraday high of 82,504 and a low of 81,815. The Nifty50 closed at 25,343, advancing 167 points or 0.66 per cent, while trading between 25,188 and 25,372 through the day.

Hindustan Copper Ltd made a new 52-week high at Rs 643 and was currently trading at Rs 637.9 after closing the previous day at Rs 562.15, showing a day change of 13.48 per cent. Returns from the 52-week low stood at 247.02 per cent, indicating multibagger returns. Traded volume was about 10.83 crore shares, showing a volume spike along with a price-volume breakout. With a market capitalisation of Rs 61153.64 crore and the stock near its high, the move came with strong volume support.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd touched a 52-week high of Rs 269.65 and was currently trading at Rs 268.23 compared to the previous close of Rs 247.95, marking a gain of 8.18 per cent. Returns from the 52-week low were 30.84 per cent. The stock recorded a traded volume of about 7.34 crore shares with a price-volume breakout and volume spike.
