ACME Solar Expands Energy Storage Portfolio
ACME Solar Holdings Limited announced the commissioning of an additional 33.333 MW / 160.512 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Sun Power Private Limited, in Rajasthan.
The newly commissioned capacity is located at Village Badi Sid, Tehsil Bap, across the districts of Phalodi and Jodhpur. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the project is June 3, 2026.
Following the latest commissioning, ACME Sun Power's total operational BESS capacity has increased to 266.669 MW / 1,283.936 MWh, taking the company's cumulative battery storage portfolio beyond 1.28 GWh.
Strengthens Presence In Rajasthan
The project further strengthens ACME Solar's renewable energy footprint in Rajasthan, one of the company's key operating regions. Battery Energy Storage Systems play an important role in renewable energy integration by supporting grid stability, balancing supply variability and enhancing power availability during peak demand periods.
The additional capacity expands ACME Solar's operational base in grid-scale energy storage alongside its solar, wind, hybrid and firm-dispatchable renewable energy projects.
ACME Solar Holdings Opens Qualified Institutional Placement
Separately, ACME Solar informed the exchanges that its Fund Raising Committee approved the opening of a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) on June 1, 2026. The committee approved a floor price of Rs 294.13 per equity share for the issue in accordance with SEBI regulations. The company may offer a discount of up to 5 per cent on the floor price, subject to regulatory provisions.
The QIP is being undertaken pursuant to approvals received from the Board of Directors and shareholders earlier. The company has also approved the preliminary placement document and application form related to the fundraising exercise.
