ACME Solar commissions additional BESS capacity

ACME Solar Holdings Limited announced that, through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Surya Power Private Limited, it has commissioned an additional 34.598 MW / 155.493 MWh capacity under its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located at Village Jaimalsar, Bikaner district, Rajasthan. Further, the company stated that the additional capacity was commissioned on May 27, 2026, while the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the project has been scheduled for May 29, 2026.

Cumulative BESS capacity crosses 245 MW

Following the latest commissioning, ACME Surya Power Private Limited’s cumulative commissioned BESS capacity increased to 245.536 MW in power terms and 1,103.392 MWh in energy storage terms.

The company stated that the latest commissioning follows its earlier project expansion announced on May 11, 2026, and forms part of its phased battery storage infrastructure expansion strategy. The Rajasthan project remains a key part of ACME Solar’s battery deployment plans amid rising focus on renewable energy integration and grid-scale energy storage infrastructure.

Battery storage expansion strengthens renewable portfolio

The company stated that the integration of the additional battery storage capacity will further strengthen its operational energy storage portfolio alongside renewable generation assets.

The phased commissioning reflects continued execution in the company’s battery energy storage business segment through its subsidiary platform. The development was disclosed to the stock exchanges under applicable listing regulations.

Shareholding and stock performance

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd traded at Rs 305.50 on May 27, 2026, at 3:46 PM, compared with the previous close of Rs 302.75, reflecting a gain of 0.91 per cent during the session.

The stock has delivered returns of around 24.26 per cent over the past one year. The stock’s 52-week high and low stood at Rs 318.85 and Rs 199 respectively. Domestic institutional investor holding increased to 7.05 per cent from 6.87 per cent, while foreign institutional investor holding declined to 3.60 per cent from 4.03 per cent.
