RailTel Bags Rs 334.52 Crore Railway Order

RailTel Corporation informed the exchanges that it has received a purchase order worth Rs 3,34,51,69,491 (excluding taxes) from the Ministry of Railways. The order pertains to the upgradation of e-Office instances of Zonal Railways and Administrative Units (AUs) to version 7.x across the Indian Railways network.

The scope of work also includes the implementation of Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs) and eSign integration within the e-Office platform, aimed at enabling secure, authenticated and paperless administrative workflows across railway establishments.

RailTel Project To Run Till 2031

According to the company, the contract has been awarded by the Ministry of Railways and is scheduled to be executed through June 22, 2031, providing long-term revenue visibility. The work order was received on June 23, 2026.

RailTel clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority and that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.

Supporting Indian Railways' Digital Transformation

The latest order forms part of the ongoing digitalisation initiatives undertaken by Indian Railways. The migration to e-Office version 7.x, along with mandatory DSC and eSign integration, is expected to improve process traceability, document standardisation and data security across railway zones and administrative units.

RailTel has been a key technology partner for Indian Railways and has previously implemented the NIC e-Office platform across 236 railway units. The company has also executed several technology-led projects involving connectivity, surveillance systems, hospital management solutions and digital communication infrastructure.
