Rs 1,27,820 Crore Order Book: Navratna PSU Bags Rs 159 Crore Worth of Education Infrastructure Orders in Odisha

On Friday, Indian equity benchmarks traded higher, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index rising 1.02 per cent to 24,206.90. Amid the broader market strength, NBCC (India) share price jumped 2.28 per cent to close at Rs 99.98 after the company announced that its subsidiary, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), had secured new work orders worth approximately Rs 158.95 crore.

NBCC Subsidiary Secures Rs 158.95 Crore Orders

NBCC informed the exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), has been awarded four domestic work orders in the ordinary course of business with a total value of approximately Rs 158.95 crore (excluding GST). The projects will be executed on a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) deposit work basis and are related to the development of educational infrastructure in Odisha.

NBCC Details of the Projects

The largest order, valued at Rs 70.59 crore, has been awarded by the District Mineral Foundation, Keonjhar, for the construction of a Mega Education Complex in Keonjhar district. The same authority has also awarded another contract worth Rs 17.24 crore for the construction of DD University Works (Mega Education Complex) in the district. In addition, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has awarded two separate contracts worth Rs 35.56 crore each for the construction of new Kendriya Vidyalaya campuses in Angul and Sambalpur districts of Odisha.

The company stated that domestic entities have awarded all four contracts in the normal course of business. The filing further clarified that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entities and that the contracts do not qualify as related-party transactions.

As of March 31, 2026, NBCC had a robust Order Book of approximately Rs 1,27,820 crore, providing strong revenue visibility and supporting its long-term growth prospects across project management consultancy and EPC businesses.
