Rs 5,400 Crore+ Rolls-Royce Deal: This Defence & Aerospace Stock Secures Additional GBP 125 Million Long-Term Agreement; Share Price Hits 5% Upper Circuit

On Tuesday, Indian equity benchmark indices traded lower, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index falling 60.35 points to 24,158.70. Amid the market movement, Sigma Advanced Systems share price locked in 4.99 per cent Upper Circuit to Rs 692.70 after the Defence and Aerospace company secured an additional long-term agreement worth nearly GBP 125 million with Rolls-Royce through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions.

Sigma Advanced Systems Secures GBP 125 Million Rolls-Royce Agreement

Sigma Advanced Systems has secured a further long-term contract with Rolls-Royce through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions, based in Leicester. The company stated that the agreement demonstrates the immediate strategic value of the Bromford acquisition and expands its long-term relationship with one of the world's leading aerospace original equipment manufacturers.

The latest agreement is valued at nearly GBP 125 million, approximately Rs 1,600 crore, and builds directly on the recently secured approximately GBP 300 million, or around Rs 3,800 crore, Rolls-Royce long-term agreement. Together, the two agreements are valued at approximately GBP 425 million, equivalent to around Rs 5,400 crore, based on the values disclosed by the company.

Agreement Expands Aerospace Product Portfolio

According to the company, the latest agreement will broaden Sigma Advanced Systems' product offering, manufacturing capabilities and content across critical aerospace programmes. The combined agreements are expected to strengthen the company's position within Rolls-Royce's UK supply chain while increasing long-term revenue visibility.

The acquisition of Bromford adds complementary manufacturing capabilities in aero engine rings and casings, along with advanced precision manufacturing. These capabilities enable Sigma to supply a broader portfolio of complex engine components to its aerospace customers.

Bromford to Manufacture Critical Engine Components

Under the agreement, Bromford will manufacture aero-engine rings, casings, lock plates and other critical engine structures at Sigma's India and UK manufacturing facilities.

The arrangement is intended to create a more comprehensive dual-source solution as directed by Rolls-Royce, combining Bromford's specialist UK manufacturing capabilities with Sigma's existing Indian manufacturing network.

Sigma Advanced Systems stated that the agreement highlights the strategic rationale behind its acquisition of Bromford. By adding complementary products, specialist manufacturing expertise and long-standing OEM approvals, Bromford immediately expands Sigma's addressable opportunity with existing customers.

The company further stated that the acquisition is accelerating its progression towards higher-value, programme-level aerospace partnerships. The agreement also secures Bromford's long-term future within the Sigma Group as a key UK manufacturing site, while safeguarding skilled engineering and manufacturing jobs and reinforcing the resilience of the UK's critical aerospace manufacturing base.
