Rs 6.67 lakh crore order book: Infrastructure major wins order from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority

L&T’s Transportation Infrastructure vertical has secured a significant electrification contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for Mumbai Metro Line 4. The project covers a 24.72 km stretch from Bhakti Park to Cadbury Junction, involving 22 elevated stations. L&T’s in-house teams will manage the design, supply, and commissioning of power systems, traction, and SCADA systems, alongside electrical and mechanical works, lifts, and escalators for the stations and depots.
This award marks L&T’s third consecutive win for the Line 4 & 4A corridor. Previous contracts for this route include Package CA-234, which covered rolling stock and signalling systems, and Package CA-168 for ballast-less track works. With this latest addition, L&T will now provide comprehensive infrastructure and five years of maintenance for this critical urban transit link. The order is valued between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore
