Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited informed the stock exchanges that it has signed a contract agreement with Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise, Nigeria.
The contract, valued between Rs 2,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, was awarded through an international competitive bidding process and pertains to the supply of eight gas turbine generator packages.
The order represents a significant addition to BHEL's international project portfolio and strengthens its presence in the global energy and industrial infrastructure sector.
Scope Includes Gas Turbine Generator Packages
Under the agreement, BHEL will undertake the design, engineering, manufacturing and supply of eight gas turbine generator packages for Dangote's petroleum refinery and polypropylene plant located in the Dangote Industries Free Zone, Nigeria.
The company will be responsible for supplying the equipment up to Mumbai Port. The scope of work also includes supervision of erection and commissioning activities, along with performance guarantee testing of the installed systems. BHEL clarified that civil works are not part of the contract scope.
BHEL Project To Be Executed Over 26 Months
According to the filing, the project is scheduled to be completed within 26 months from the effective date of the contract.
The order supports the expansion of one of Africa's largest refining and petrochemical complexes and further enhances BHEL's credentials in executing large-scale power generation packages for industrial projects outside India.

The latest order marks another milestone in BHEL's international business operations. The company has supplied equipment and executed projects across multiple geographies and continues to expand its footprint in overseas markets.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Clarifies Transaction Details
BHEL stated that neither its promoter, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity. The company further clarified that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction under applicable regulations.
