Rail Vikas Nigam Receives Rs 221.33 Crore EPC Order
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) informed the stock exchanges that it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from South East Central Railway for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract valued at Rs 221.33 crore.
The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and has been classified as a domestic contract by the company.
Scope Includes Railway Signalling Modernisation
The contract involves the replacement of existing panel interlocking systems with electronic interlocking systems, along with associated indoor and outdoor signalling equipment.
The scope of work also includes the construction of optical fibre communication (OFC) huts, signalling and telecommunication (S&T) service buildings, electrification of the facilities and cabling works in adjoining block sections.
The project covers multiple stations and adjoining railway sections in the Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway, including BSPR, KLPG, ABKP, MZH, HRV, PRDL, KTMA, BJRI, KJZ, MDGR, CHRM, GTK, KLTR, PLAU and KBS.

The company stated that the project is scheduled to be completed within 730 days.
RVNL also clarified that neither its promoter nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority and that the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.

The latest order strengthens RVNL's order book in the railway signalling and telecommunication segment.
The project is aimed at upgrading conventional railway signalling systems to electronic interlocking technology, which supports improved operational efficiency and safety across railway networks.
