Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Monday with the Sensex down 1.59 per cent at 77,965 and the Nifty-50 down 1.62 per cent at 23,616. About 656 shares have advanced, 3,474 shares have declined and 114 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 2.44 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 3.17 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Linde India Ltd, Ajanta Pharma Ltd and FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are ITI Ltd, Thyrocare Technologies Ltd and PTC Industries Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Services Index; BSE Metals Index; BSE Oil & Gas Index; BSE Energy Index, BSE Realty Index and BSE Power Index being the Top Gainers which plunged over 3 per cent each.

As of January 06, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.38 lakh crore or USD 5.11 trillion. On the same day, 176 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 113 stocks touched a 52-week low.
