Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.40 per cent at 77,044 and the Nifty-50 up 0.47 per cent at 23,437. About 2,636 shares have advanced, 1,309 shares have declined and 133 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.62 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.91 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA) and Indian Bank. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were JBM Auto Ltd, Cupid Ltd and Rajoo Engineers Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Auto Index was the only top loser.

As of April 16, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.12 lakh crore or USD 4.81 trillion. On the same day, 91 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 49 stocks touched a 52-week low.
