Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.08 per cent at 82,634 and the Nifty-50 up 0.06 per cent at 25,212. About 2,338 shares have advanced, 1,718 shares have declined and 162 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.10 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.28 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Patanjali Foods Ltd, Thermax Ltd, Gland Pharma Ltd and Star Health & Allied Insurance Company Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Magellanic Cloud Ltd, Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd, Tilaknagar Industries Ltd and Shree Digvijay Cement Company Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Focused IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Commodities Index and BSE Metals Index were the Top Losers.

As of July 16, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 461 lakh crore or USD 5.37 trillion. On the same day, 145 stocks hit a 52-week high while 37 stocks touched a 52-week low.
