Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.36 per cent at 81,186 and the Nifty-50 down 0.35 per cent at 24,768. About 1,603 shares have advanced, 2,414 shares have declined and 136 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 70 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.85 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Emami Ltd, Aditya Birla Capital Ltd and Bharti Hexacom Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Kaynes Technology India Ltd, Acutaas Chemicals Ltd and Epack Durable Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE FMCG Index and BSE Services Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Losers.

As of July 31, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 450 lakh crore or USD 5.14 trillion. On the same day, 131 stocks hit a 52-week high while 91 stocks touched a 52-week low.
