Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.72 per cent at 80,600 and the Nifty-50 down 0.82 per cent at 24,565. About 1,297 shares have advanced, 2,718 shares have declined and 154 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.37 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.59 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Suzlon Energy Ltd, Emami Ltd, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd and Jindal Stainless Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were  KIOCL Ltd, Hester Biosciences Ltd, WPIL Ltd and Jay Bharat Maruti Ltd.

On the sectoral front, most indices were traded in the red with the BSE FMCG Index being the only top gainer, while the BSE Metals Index and BSE Telecommunication Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 01, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 445 lakh crore or USD 5.09 trillion. On the same day, 140 stocks hit a 52-week high while 80 stocks touched a 52-week low.
