Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Tuesday with the Sensex up 0.46 per cent at 81,644 and the Nifty-50 up 0.42 per cent at 24,981. About 2,631 shares have advanced, 1,437 shares have declined and 164 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.97 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.97 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, One 97 Communications Ltd (PAYTM), Exide Industries Ltd and Astral Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were HLE Glascoat Ltd, KIOCL Ltd, IFGL Refractories Ltd and Magellanic Cloud Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green with the BSE Services Index, BSE Oil & Gas Index, BSE Telecommunication Index, BSE Consumer Discretionary Index and BSE Energy Index, gaining over 1 per cent each.

As of August 19, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 455 lakh crore or USD 5.21 trillion. On the same day, 143 stocks hit a 52-week high while 65 stocks touched a 52-week low.
