Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.26 per cent at 81,858 and the Nifty-50 up 0.28 per cent at 25,050. About 2,343 shares have advanced, 1,725 shares have declined and 167 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.39 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.30 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, Indian Hotels Co Ltd, Emami Ltd and The Phoenix Mills Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were IKIO Technologies Ltd, Dynamic Cables Ltd, Mercury EV-Tech Ltd and Carborundum Universal Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Focused IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Financial Services Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 20, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 456 lakh crore or USD 5.24 trillion. On the same day, 142 stocks hit a 52-week high while 53 stocks touched a 52-week low.
