Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.17 per cent at 82,001 and the Nifty-50 up 0.13 per cent at 25,084. About 2,094 shares have advanced, 2,000 shares have declined and 154 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.12 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.01 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were New India Assurance Company Ltd, Aditya Birla Capital Ltd, Go Digit General Insurance Ltd and L&T Finance Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were BF Utilities Ltd, Nava Ltd, KIOCL Ltd and Navneet Education Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Realty Index and BSE Healthcare Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Power Index and BSE Utilities Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 21, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 456 lakh crore or USD 5.25 trillion. On the same day, 143 stocks hit a 52-week high while 49 stocks touched a 52-week low.
