Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Monday with the Sensex up 0.40 per cent at 81,636 and the Nifty-50 up 0.39 per cent at 24,968. About 1,947 shares have advanced, 2,239 shares have declined and 200 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.10 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.02 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Jubilant Foodworks Ltd, Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, Inventurus Knowledge Solutions Ltd and Jindal Stainless Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were JK Paper Ltd, West Coast Paper Mills Ltd, Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Ltd and Andhra Paper Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Focused IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Capital Goods Index and BSE Telecommunication Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 25, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 455 lakh crore or USD 5.20 trillion. On the same day, 164 stocks hit a 52-week high while 84 stocks touched a 52-week low.
