The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Monday with the Sensex up 0.70 per cent at 80,364 and the Nifty-50 up 0.81 per cent at 24,625. About 2,795 shares have advanced, 1,391 shares have declined and 194 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.64 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.49 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd, Tube Investments of India Ltd and Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Le Travenues Technology Ltd, Zydus Wellness Ltd, JTL Industries Ltd and Deccan Gold Mines Ltd.
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green with the BSE Consumer Durables Index, BSE Consumer Discretionary Index and BSE Auto Index, jumped over 2 per cent each.
As of September 01, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 449 lakh crore or USD 5.09 trillion. On the same day, 129 stocks hit a 52-week high while 113 stocks touched a 52-week low.
