Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.38 per cent at 82,694 and the Nifty-50 up 0.36 per cent at 25,330. About 2,415 shares have advanced, 1,740 shares have declined and 173 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.19 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.51 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd, Bank of Maharashtra, KPIT Technologies Ltd and Deepak Nitrite Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were IRM Energy Ltd, Platinum Industries Ltd, DCM Shriram Ltd and PC Jeweller Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Services Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE FMCG Index and BSE Metals Index were the Top Losers.

As of September 17, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 465 lakh crore or USD 5.30 trillion. On the same day, 162 stocks hit a 52-week high while 53 stocks touched a 52-week low.
