Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.39 per cent at 83,014 and the Nifty-50 up 0.37 per cent at 25,424. About 2,182 shares have advanced, 1,993 shares have declined and 167 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.36 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.01 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Biocon Ltd, LIC Housing Finance Ltd, Escorts Kubota Ltd and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Shalimar Paints Ltd, IRM Energy Ltd, Poonawalla Fincorp Ltd and Hi-Tech Pipes Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE IT Index and BSE Focused IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Energy Index and BSE Industrials Index were the Top Losers.

As of September 18, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 466 lakh crore or USD 5.29 trillion. On the same day, 170 stocks hit a 52-week high while 48 stocks touched a 52-week low.
