Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.19 per cent at 81,774 and the Nifty-50 up 0.25 per cent at 25,048. About 1,740 shares have advanced, 2,434 shares have declined and 156 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.74 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.42 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were National Aluminium Company Ltd, Escorts Kubota Ltd, Hexaware Technologies Ltd and Coforge Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Salzer Electronics Ltd, Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd, Jai Corp Ltd and ITI Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Focused IT Index and BSE IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Power Index and BSE Realty Index were the Top Losers.

As of October 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 458 lakh crore or USD 5.16 trillion. On the same day, 161 stocks hit a 52-week high while 144 stocks touched a 52-week low.
