The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Friday with the Sensex up 0.40 per cent at 82,501 and the Nifty-50 up 0.41 per cent at 25,285. About 2,474 shares have advanced, 1,706 shares have declined and 163 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.36 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.59 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Tata Communications Ltd, Yes Bank, Bandhan Bank Ltd and UCO Bank. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were AGI Infra Ltd, Jindal Photo Ltd, Geecee Ventures Ltd and South Indian Bank Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Realty Index and BSE Telecommunication Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Commodities Index and BSE Metals Index were the Top Losers.
As of October 10, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 462 lakh crore or USD 5.21 trillion. On the same day, 171 stocks hit a 52-week high while 105 stocks touched a 52-week low.
