Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.70 per cent at 82,605 and the Nifty-50 up 0.71 per cent at 25,324. About 2,503 shares have advanced, 1,659 shares have declined and 164 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.07 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.78 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Persistent Systems Ltd, Maharashtra Bank, Ola Electric & Mobility Ltd and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd, G M Breweries Ltd, Genesys International Corporation Ltd and AGI Infra Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green with the BSE Telecommunication Index, BSE FMCG Index, BSE Financial Services Index, BSE Utilities Index, BSE Consumer Durables Index, BSE Power Index, BSE Realty Index and BSE Services Index, jumping over 1 per cent each.

As of October 15, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 464 lakh crore or USD 5.25 trillion. On the same day, 149 stocks hit a 52-week high while 137 stocks touched a 52-week low.
