Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Thursday with the Sensex up 1.04 per cent at 83,468 and the Nifty-50 up 1.03 per cent at 25,585. About 2,377 shares have advanced, 1,812 shares have declined and 145 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.29 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.47 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Oberoi Realty Ltd, Whirlpool of India Ltd, Endurance Technologies Ltd and Jindal Stainless Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Share India Securities Ltd, BLS International Services Ltd, Nelcast Ltd and Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green with the BSE Telecommunication Index, BSE FMCG Index, BSE Bankex Index, BSE Auto Index, BSE Consumer Durables Index, BSE Consumer Discretionary Index, BSE Realty Index and BSE Services Index, jumping over 1 per cent each.

As of October 16, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 467 lakh crore or USD 5.31 trillion. On the same day, 165 stocks hit a 52-week high while 92 stocks touched a 52-week low.
