Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen in These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Tuesday with the Sensex down 0.44 per cent at 85,063 and the Nifty-50 down 0.27 per cent at 26,179. About 1,658 shares have advanced, 2,523 shares have declined and 16 shares have been unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 86,056 on November 27, 2025 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,373.20 on January 05, 2026.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.24 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.39 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were CRISIL Ltd, National Aluminium Company Ltd, IPCA Laboratories Ltd and Fortis Healthcare Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Shankara Building Products Ltd, Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd, Mindteck (India) Ltd and Indian Energy Exchange Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE PSU Bank Index and BSE Healthcare Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Energy Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 06, 2026, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 480 lakh crore or USD 5.32 trillion. On the same day, 143 stocks hit a 52-week high while 125 stocks touched a 52-week low.
