Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen in These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.72 per cent at 83,576 and the Nifty-50 down 0.75 per cent at 25,683. About 1,065 shares have advanced, 3,105 shares have declined and 176 shares have been unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 86,056 on November 27, 2025 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,373.20 on January 05, 2026.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.90 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.74 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were National Aluminium Company Ltd, Oil India Ltd, Coromandel International Ltd and Coforge Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Yasho Industries Ltd, Krystal Integrated Services Ltd, MTAR Technologies Ltd and Goodluck India Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE PSU Bank Index and BSE Energy Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Realty Index and BSE Services Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 09, 2026, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 468 lakh crore or USD 5.19 trillion. On the same day, 73 stocks hit a 52-week high while 326 stocks touched a 52-week low.
