Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen in These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.27 per cent at 82,566 and the Nifty-50 up 0.30 per cent at 25,400. About 1,706 shares have advanced, 2,533 shares have declined and 150 shares have been unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 86,056 on November 27, 2025 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,373.20 on January 05, 2026.

The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE 150 Mid-Cap Index up 0.10 per cent and the BSE 250 Small-Cap Index down 0.19 per cent. The top 100 mid-cap index gainers were GE Vernova T&D India Ltd, Gland Pharma Ltd, National Aluminium Company Ltd and NLC India Ltd. In contrast, the top 250 small-cap index gainers were Hindustan Copper Ltd, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd, Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd and eClerx Services Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Metals Index and BSE Power Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Consumer Durables Index and BSE Focused IT Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 29, 2026, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 460 lakh crore or USD 5 trillion. On the same day, 107 stocks hit a 52-week high while 273 stocks touched a 52-week low.
