BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.49 lakh crore or USD 5.34 trillion as of August 07, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 1.11 per cent at 79,468, and the Nifty-50 up 1.27 per cent at 24,297.50. About 2,986 shares have advanced, 947 shares have declined and 98 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,129.49 on August 01, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,078.30 on August 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 2.63 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 2.39 per cent. The top mid-cap only gainers were Oil India Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and REC Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Balu Forge Industries Ltd, Tejas Networks Ltd and HPL Electric & Power Ltd.
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in green with the BSE Oil & Gas Index, BSE Metals Index and BSE Metals Index being the Top Gainers which surged over 3 per cent each.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.49 lakh crore or USD 5.34 trillion as of August 07, 2024. On the same day, 196 stocks hit a 52-week high while 24 stocks touched a 52-week low.
