Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on August 29

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.43 per cent at 82,135, and the Nifty-50 up 0.40 per cent at 25,152. About 1,420 shares have advanced, 2,531 shares have declined and 96 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,285.83 on August 29, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25, on August 29, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.27 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.72 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Whirlpool of India Ltd, Power Finance Corporation Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Spicejet Ltd, Pokarna Ltd and Gokul Agro Resources Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Energy Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Capital Goods Index and BSE Industrials Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.63 lakh crore or USD 5.52 trillion as of August 29, 2024. On the same day, 297 stocks hit a 52-week high while 23 stocks touched a 52-week low.
