Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 18

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.62 per cent at 80,182 and the Nifty-50 plunged 0.56 per cent at 24,199. About 1,442 shares have advanced, 2,563 shares have declined and 94 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.61 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.76 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Godrej Industries Ltd, Indraprastha Gas Ltd and Bharti Hexacom Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Hampton Sky Realty Ltd, Craftsman Automation Ltd and Uniphos Enterprises Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Utilities Index; BSE Metals Index; BSE Power Index; BSE Capital Goods Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index being the Top Gainers which plunged over 1 per cent each.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.53 lakh crore or USD 5.33 trillion as of December 18, 2024. On the same day, 246 stocks hit a 52-week high while 38 stocks touched a 52-week low.
