Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 27

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.98 per cent at 72,038.43 and the Nifty-50 up 1 per cent at 21,654.75. About 1,992 shares have advanced, 1,812 have declined and 110 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,119.85 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,675.75 on December 27, 2023.

The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.41 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.20 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were 3M India Ltd, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd and Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were HPL Electric Power Ltd, Gallantt Ispat Ltd and Kamdhenu Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Metals Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Oil & Gas Index being the Top Losers.

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,61,20,899 crore or approx. Rs 361 lakh crore as of December 27, 2023. On the same day, 361 stocks hit a 52-week high while 18 stocks touched a 52-week low.
