Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 28

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.52 per cent at 72,410 and the Nifty-50 up 0.57 per cent at 21,779. About 1,827 shares have advanced, 1,960 have declined and 133 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,484.34 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,801.45 on December 28, 2023.

The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.65 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.25 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Steel Authority of India Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals LTD while the top small-cap gainers were Hindustan Copper Ltd, Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd and Man Industries (India) Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Oil & Gas Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Information Technology Index being the Top Losers.

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,63,00,220 crore or approx. Rs 363 lakh crore as of December 28, 2023. On the same day, 349 stocks hit a 52-week high while 21 stocks touched a 52-week low.
