Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on July 24

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.35 per cent at 80,149, and the Nifty-50 down 0.27 per cent at 24,414. About 2,802 shares have advanced, 1,093 shares have declined and 112 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 81,588 on July 19, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 24,855 on July 19, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.68 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.91 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were IDBI Bank Ltd, JSW Infrastructure Ltd and Schaeffler India Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are MMTC Ltd, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd and Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Bankex Index and BSE Financial Services Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.50 lakh crore or USD 5.37 trillion as of July 24, 2024. On the same day, 229 stocks hit a 52-week high while 22 stocks touched a 52-week low.
