Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on May 14

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.45 per cent at 73,105, and the Nifty-50 up 0.51 per cent at 22,218. About 2,691 shares have advanced, 1,115 have declined and 117 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 75,124.80 on April 09, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 22,794.70 on May 03, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.14 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.79 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd, Jindal Stainless Ltd and SJVN Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Texmaco Infrastructure & Holdings Ltd, H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd and Cochin Shipyard Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index being the only Top Gainers while the BSE Healthcare Index were the only losing sector.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 402 lakh crore or USD 4.81 trillion as of May 14, 2024. On the same day, 158 stocks hit a 52-week high while 29 stocks touched a 52-week low.
